gno.sh is a separate hosted publishing layer for when you want to share a note or collection as a hosted reader (outline, 68ch measure, subset search). That’s what has tiers.
Public spaces can expose the shipped read-only agent projection: deterministic Markdown, llms.txt, and a manifest with exact evidence locators. Secret-link, invite-only, and encrypted spaces remain human-reader surfaces. Token-authenticated private agent access is deferred and is not included in any plan today. No plan enables server-side decryption: encrypted artifacts arrive as ciphertext and decrypt only in the reader’s browser.
The five-partner knowledge-room pilot is a consented, concierge-run validation program. It is not a self-serve plan, managed-service promise, or contracted support commitment.
Local GNO
Search across all your documents, get AI answers with citations, browse and edit in a full workspace, integrate with Claude, Cursor, and other AI tools — the whole product. MIT license. No telemetry. The corpus and index stay on your machine; configured HTTP inference is an explicit external trust boundary.

No. Local GNO is free, open-source, and MIT-licensed. Install it and use every feature on your own machine without ever creating an account. gno.sh publishing is a separate hosted layer for when you want to share a note beyond your laptop.
10 published notes, 3 published collections, public URLs, versioned republish snapshots, and the “Published with GNO” footer shown on every shared page. No card required. No trial. It stays free.
Personal Pro ($9/mo) raises publish quotas and adds secret links and invite-only spaces for your own workspace. Organization Team ($29/mo) applies larger quotas and encrypted sharing to that organization’s members. Every current tier keeps the published footer.
Not today. The Free tier has no time limit and no card. Use it as long as you need to validate the product. Upgrade when you hit a feature or quota wall, and downgrade freely if it isn’t the right fit.
Not through a supported private agent API today. The read-only agent projection is available only for an explicitly published public snapshot. Secret-link, invite-only, and encrypted shares are human-reader access modes. Token-authenticated private agent access remains deferred. Encrypted shares are client-encrypted; neither a plan upgrade nor support can recover the passphrase or server-decrypt them.
gno.sh uses Better Auth for sessions and Polar for subscriptions. One identity, one paywall, entitlements derived from billing state. No second user system, no manual plan toggles.
